My Story | Living with HIV

At the age of 48, Jyoti Dhawale has faced the most difficult challenges in her life, including contracting HIV. Despite the challenges, she continues to speak out against the stigma of HIV/AIDS and has gone on to become an advocate for those living with the condition. According to Dhawale, HIV was a result of medical negligence during abortion, and she was subsequently subjected to domestic violence, as well as marital sexual abuse. She is a Global Ambassador for The Well Project which is a non- profit organization. She is actively involved in raising awareness of HIV/AIDS among the public.
