The cerebrum is the most significant part of the brain, orchestrating various functions with the help of 5 lobes that work hand-in-hand.
The largest segment of the cerebrum commands emotions and cognitive processes, such as moods, judgment, planning and foresight, and voluntary motor controls.
The parietal lobe is on the top of the head. It is responsible for touch, pain, and signals, spatial judgment distance of an object, processing sound, and speaking ability.
Sensory processing, memory, language comprehension, and visual memories are all under the temporal lobe, the second largest segment of the cerebrum.
From the back of the brain, the occipital lobe performs visuospatial processing, distance & depth perception, colour determination, object & face recognition, and memory formation.
Hidden beneath the frontal, temporal and parietal lobes, the Insular lobe is the processing centre of emotions, empathy and taste senses.
