Dr Shireen Furtado, a senior consultant in medical and cosmetic dermatology at Aster CMI Hospital in Bengaluru, has observed that the average person spends between Rs 5,000 and Rs 7,000 each month on skincare products. Instead, she recommends combining a healthy diet with a good skincare routine for optimal results. She highlights, “Unlike many beauty products, vegetables good for skin are naturally effective and have minimal side effects.”
Meanwhile, Ridhima Batra, dietician and founder, Nutrition Defined, a Delhi-based wellness company, explains that vegetables loaded with antioxidants, minerals and vitamins, vegetables help fight oxidative stress, build new cells, renew old ones, and provide elasticity and suppleness.
